The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-impact Inside Sales Manager to lead our Central Region Inside Sales team from our Bolingbrook, IL location.
This role is not just about managing people — it’s about driving performance, developing talent, and partnering with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to execute regional growth strategies. You will be accountable for revenue performance, margin discipline, pipeline activity, and team effectiveness across the Central region.
The ideal candidate is a coach, strategist, and operator — someone who understands how inside sales fuels the broader commercial engine.
What You’ll Do
Sales Leadership & Performance Management
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives to achieve revenue, gross margin, and volume targets.
Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability across the team.
Conduct regular performance reviews, pipeline inspections, and coaching sessions focused on results.
Build a culture of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement.
Commercial Strategy & Execution
Execute regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market conditions.
Drive proactive selling behaviors — prospecting, cross-selling, contract growth, and opportunity conversion.
Partner closely with General Sales Management and Outside Sales to ensure coordinated account coverage and territory execution.
Analyze sales data, customer trends, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities and risks.
Operational & Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure reliable fulfillment, inventory optimization, and customer satisfaction.
Balance customer service expectations with margin discipline and pricing strategy.
Serve as a key communication link between corporate leadership and frontline sales execution.
Process, Systems & Talent Development
Ensure consistent use of CRM, ERP, and reporting tools to drive visibility and forecasting accuracy.
Identify skill gaps and implement targeted training and development plans.
Support hiring, onboarding, and succession planning for inside sales talent within the region.

What You Bring
5+ years of sales experience, including 2+ years in a sales leadership or supervisory role.
Experience in metals distribution, industrial sales, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
Proven success driving team performance against measurable goals.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office (Excel required).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
